HIGH TENSILE STRENGTH

The reinforcement bands have approximately 7 times the tensile strength of steel.

STRONGER AND LIGHTER THAN IRON

It is lighter than iron and other alternative reinforcement materials.

LONGLASTING

It is a material that can perform for many years in historical monument restorations with alkali and water resistance, and no oxidation or corrosion issues.

EASY TO APPLY

Due to its flexible structure, which is quite like a rope compared to iron, wood, and other hard restoration materials, it can easily fit into joint spaces. There is no need to make a thick joint.

MBC1000 Carbon Fiber Strength Tape

MBK1000 are long-lasting strength tapes made of carbon fiber, used in the reinforcement of historical artifacts. In addition to strengthening your historical structures, their application method allows them to act as a safety belt within the structure without damaging the historical textures or disturbing their natural structure.

Its application is extremely simple. Joints are opened horizontally, reinforced with epoxy, and placed to perform their function. Since there is no risk of corrosion, it can serve within the joints of the structure for many years. This structural reinforcement method has been entirely developed with Turkish engineering and has become increasingly widespread in recent years. It is a recognized application, especially in countries like Italy and Germany.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS AND USE

It is a construction material that provides tensile strength to the structure by placing it into joints opened in historical masonry buildings. After the reinforcement bands are applied, they begin to harden. It is highly resistant to natural effects.

There are two types: glass fiber and carbon fiber. The durability of carbon fibers is higher than that of glass fibers.

Joints to be opened in the wall according to the project dimensions are cleaned. Dust prevention measures are taken. The reinforcement band, in the type and amount specified in the project, is applied with the recommended two-component epoxy, ensuring it is well absorbed into the joint. The reinforcement band is then placed into the joint under tension. Precautions are taken to ensure the contact of the reinforcement band along the joint. After placing the reinforcement band and ensuring its physical contact with the joint depth, the recommended two-component epoxy is applied again on the band with a brush. During the epoxy application process, care must be taken to ensure that the reinforcement band and joint contact points are epoxy-coated without gaps. After laying the reinforcement band and completing the epoxy process, the joints are filled with mortar prepared according to the project's specifications and leveled with the wall surface using a trowel.
