Restoration
HAS VERY HIGH TENSILE STRENGTH By strengthening the resistance bands, it contributes to a strong tensile strength by solidifying within the joint. |
THE LIGHTEST RESTORATION MATERIAL This two-component material, used to reinforce fiber materials, makes it possible to create a light reinforcement material by hardening these lightweight fiber products. |
LONG-LASTING AND MOISTURE TOLERANT It is a material that provides protection against oxidation or corrosion and has alkaline and moisture tolerance, capable of working for many years in historical restoration projects. |
IT IS EASY TO APPLY Application to resistance bands can be done by dipping or brushing method. No special expertise is required. |

It is a two-component, chemically cured, solvent-free, moisture-tolerant epoxy. In historical structures made with masonry, it is a supplementary material that provides tensile strength to the structure by inserting it into the joints after they are opened. This allows the material to withstand for years in the joints. After applying the resistance bands, the two-component material starts to harden with its effect. It is highly resistant to natural influences. Being a two-component material with alkali resistance and moisture tolerance, it hardens due to moisture and humidity without altering its form while performing its task. It is an adhesive chemical resin from the thermoset group. It has excellent resistance to water, alkali, and acid. It does not lose its resistance property over time. Epoxy adhesive applied by saturating the resistance bands continuously bonds the surfaces and prevents stress buildup. As a two-component thermoset plastic, IZOGIN EP hardens from liquid to solid form within 6 to 8 hours after mixing and reaches its final hardness within 7 days. The resistance band made of carbon or glass fiber gains excellent mechanical durability when combined with IZOGIN EP epoxy. Before applying the epoxy, the resistance band should be protected from cement slurry, oils, greases, loose particles, paraffin, mold release agents, and other factors that would weaken adhesion. IZOGIN EP is prepared as a two-component set in a specific mixing ratio. IZOGIN EP A, in a 3:2 ratio with IZOGIN EP B, should be poured into a clean container and mixed for several minutes with a low-speed mixer. After mixing, the A+B mixture is ready for use. The pot life of the mixture at 25°C is 30 minutes. As the ambient temperature increases, this time decreases; as the ambient temperature decreases, the time increases. The pot life should be considered when adjusting the mixture amount. |
