Water-Based Solvent-Free Floor Finish

Floor Finish is a solvent-free and odorless varnish, specially formulated for floors and horizontal surfaces, that nourishes and protects wood. It is resistant to impacts to a certain degree, easy to apply, and ready to use. Compared to solvent-based varnishes, it is practically odorless, allowing application to continue without waiting for ventilation.

It can be applied directly on wood, over paint, or mixed with oxide paint pigments to achieve the desired colors.

Izogin varnish is a water-based transparent wood floor and parquet glass polish. Izogin varnish has been subjected to UV resistance testing in a TÜRKAK accredited test laboratory, and the test results showed no bubbling, peeling, or cracking. Being water-based, it penetrates deep into the wood surface and provides surface protection. Due to its water-based nature, it allows the wood to breathe, preventing mold and decay. It is unaffected by seeping and can be washed with water. It is wipeable and resistant to impacts that would not damage the wood. Being water-based, it does not release harmful odors in closed environments.

New wood surfaces: Smooth planed wood surfaces are colored with the help of water-based pigments. If used in its natural state, this step is not necessary. If the wood surface is to be protected against bacteria, Izogin Preventin should be used. Izogin Preventin is colored and applied with a brush or roller. If the wood is to be protected against ignition or flame, Izogin Fermo should be used. If Izogin Fermo is used, there is no need to use Izogin Preventin. After the protection and optional coloring process, the wood surface should dry for 24 hours. After drying, apply one coat (primer) of Izogin varnish with a brush or roller. After 12 hours, apply the second coat of Izogin glass polish. For old wood surfaces: Sand off any paint, varnish, or coating materials on the old wood surface until completely clean. After this cleaning, the same process as for new wood surfaces should be followed.

CONSUMPTION

Depending on the type of wood (hardness and softness), the primer layer requires 100 gr/m2 to 120 gr/m2, and for the last two coats, each layer requires 80 to 100 gr/m2.
